A Christian disciple at Damascus who baptized Paul (Acts 9: 10-18; Acts 22: 12).

The high priest before whom Paul was brought by Caesar Lysias, and who was one of Paul's accusers at the hearing before Felix (Acts 23: 2-5; Acts 24: 1). An evil person, he was finally murdered by the populace during a disturbance in Jerusalem.
