The prophet, forbids David to build a temple (2 Sam. 7; 1 Chr. 17: 1-15); rebukes him about Bathsheba (2 Sam. 12; Ps. 51, title); anoints Solomon (1 Kgs. 1: 38-39; see also 2 Chr. 9: 29; 2 Chr. 29: 25; D&C 132: 39).
