Michael, or Adam, is the archangel or chief angel.

The Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, 1 Thes. 4: 16. Michael is the archangel, Jude 1: 9 (D&C 29: 26; 88: 112; 128: 20-21).
