Sadducees
See also Jews

A small but politically powerful party or caste among the Jews. They were perhaps best known for their rigid belief in obeying the letter of the Mosaic law and for rejecting the reality of spirits and angels and also the doctrines of resurrection and eternal life (Mark 12: 18-27; Acts 4: 1-3; 23: 7-8).
