A fondness or desire for unrighteous physical pleasure, especially sexual immorality.

His master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph, Gen. 39: 7. Whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery, Matt. 5: 28 (3 Ne. 12: 28). Abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul, 1 Pet. 2: 11. The lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes are not of the Father, 1 Jn. 2: 16. Go no more after the lusts of your eyes, Alma 39: 9. By transgression of holy laws, man became sensual, D&C 20: 20. If any commit adultery in their hearts, they shall not have the Spirit, D&C 63: 16. Cease from all your lustful desires, D&C 88: 121. Men began to be carnal, sensual, devilish, Moses 5: 13 (Mosiah 16: 3; Moses 6: 49).
