Ideas, concepts, and images in a person's mind. The power to think is a gift from God, and we are free to choose how we use our power to think. The way we think greatly affects attitudes and behavior, as well as our standing after this life. Righteous thoughts lead to salvation; wicked thoughts lead to damnation.

The Lord understands all the imaginations of the thoughts, 1 Chr. 28: 9. As he thinketh in his heart, so is he, Prov. 23: 7. My thoughts are not your thoughts, Isa. 55: 7-9. Jesus knew their thoughts, Matt. 12: 25 (Luke 5: 22; 6: 8). From within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, Mark 7: 20-23. Bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ, 2 Cor. 10: 5. Whatsoever things are true, honest, pure, or lovely, think on these things, Philip. 4: 8.
