"Young Women Values Correlated with Lessons," Young Women Manual 2, viii
The curriculum of the Church is designed to teach all of the principles of the gospel. The lessons in this manual are part of that total curriculum, and many reinforce one or more of the Young Women Values. Some lessons do not relate to a specific value but are important in the total curriculum for Young Women. When possible, you may want to incorporate discussions of the values into appropriate lessons. Following are some suggestions for doing this:
Faith: I am a daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves me, and I will have faith in his eternal plan, which centers in Jesus Christ, my Savior. (See D&C 14:7.)
Appropriate Lessons: 1, 2, 15, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29
Divine Nature: I have inherited divine qualities which I will strive to develop. (See 2 Peter 1:4-7.)
Appropriate Lessons: 1, 10, 13, 18, 22, 41, 42, 48
Individual Worth: I am of infinite worth with my own divine mission which I will strive to fulfill. (See D&C 18:10.)
Appropriate Lessons: 12, 13, 14, 32, 33, 38, 44
Knowledge: I will continually seek opportunities for learning and growth. (See D&C 88:118.)
Appropriate Lessons: 8, 9, 16, 17, 18, 36, 39, 40, 46, 47, 50
Choice and Accountability: I will remain free by choosing good over evil and will accept responsibility for my choices. (See Joshua 24:15.)
Appropriate Lessons: 4, 11, 17, 27, 28, 31, 34, 35, 43
Good Works: I will nurture others and build the kingdom through righteous service.(See 3 Nephi 12:16.)
Appropriate Lessons: 3, 5, 6, 19, 20, 21, 30, 49
Integrity: I will have the moral courage to make my actions consistent with my knowledge of right and wrong. (See Job 27:5.)
Appropriate Lessons: 7, 14, 15, 36, 37
